I'm bored, looking to waste some time.
LSU vs Florida total yards 453; time possession 35:45; punted 3 times
Bama vs Florida total yards 366; time possession 34:41; punted 5 times
LSU vs Tenn total yards 383; time possession 38:19; punted 4 times
Bama vs Tenn total yards 437; time possession 32:18; punted 2 times

If Alabama had the better Defense shouldn't their offense have more time possession.

Can't really compare. Wasn't Bama v Florida at Florida? You just can't compare 2 different games like this and expect to find anything meaningful from it.

Right right and LSU played Florida at LSU but LSU played Tenn at Tenn and Alabama played them at Alabama.
It all evens out . Still with these teams that both played, LSU's offense and defense is better on paper is it not. Time possession goes to LSU which means offense stay on the field longer and their Defense gotten their opponents off the field quicker.

Also the previous week the other team soften up the opponent. LSU got to play against two frosh for the whole game against Florida and Bama got to play with a doa Simms after LSU crushed his confidence.
