sorry guys i dont have time to check, but was curious if we've faced any 3-4 defenses yet this season and how we matched up?

Obviously the 3-4 gives up a little size, but gains in speed and athleticism. Is this matchup good for our rushing? how about passing?

3-4 D lives and dies with the quality of linebackers and CBs

This. It's a 3-4 in name only.

This. Most of the time one of those LBs is up on the LOS.

Its typically 3 lineman and a rushing LB. I thought WV ran a 3-4. Could be mistaken though

Florida runs a 3-4 and i believe Oregon and Kentucky ran hybrid forms as well.

Definitely a 3-4 personnel wise, but schematically hard to classify.

Usually, a 3-4 could be susceptible to a power running game, which we have. From what I can tell, Saban has been getting his bodies closer to the point of attack, and steadily creeping closer as they become comfortable.

Very important we stretch the field. We waited until the fourth quarter to attempt to stretch the field with Miss. St., and we have progressively opened it up earlier as the season has progressed.

We waited until the second half versus Bama last year, and I'm guessing we won't sit tight in this one. Bama has given cushion early all season, and it has shown in many of their slow starts, so I expect to see us try to establish the run first. But, no way we wait until halftime to take a shot, especially with good field position.

Isn't Florida running a 3-4 these days? I could be very mistaken, though.

So you draw out 6 players and then call it a 4-3?

They can run a 3-4 and a 4-3 without subbing players.
