This loss is not the end of the season but will end up being a costly one when we end up playing at green bay in the NFC championship game. The loss was one Payton's worst since he's been here. After this game I think they will circle the wagons and play good football from here on out.Saints deserved to be called out by all fans. Tired of reading people of this board argue who is the bigger fan and how long they followed the saints. Grow up and ive been watching the saints since 89' assclowns!

Nice post. Most of the posters on here are soft as cotton. This was a shocking loss, especially after last week. Nobody on the Saints plays for the love of the game. They are all professionals that are well compensated. They live the kind of lives most of us would die for, and they deserve as much criticism as possible for this devastating loss. This could be the nadir of the Payton era.

Circle the wagons is good for this year. Hope they address the real issues, OL, DE, and LB sooner rather than later.

As a matter of fact, I watched John Gilliam return the opening kickoff of the Saints first season. I'm a season ticket holder. So if anyone wants to pull rank, kiss my arse.

The Saints played like crap today, and they have some weaknesses. BUT, would someone point out a team in the NFC, other than Green Bay, that's really tearing it up right now? Anyone who says San Francisco needs their head examined. Fool's gold.

It's a very long season. The Saints will be in the playoffs. Once you're there, anything can happen.

If you're in the dumps over being 5-3 at this point in the season, you're too thin skinned to watch the NFL.

I think they're a legit team and possibly better than the Saints

But you're right, no one in the NFC is playing like GB is.

Wasn't Green Bay the last seed in the playoffs last year? Football is just like baseball, it is all about getting hot at the right time. Come January, anything can happen. They play 16 games for a reason.

Yeah LB for sure. Really need a good free agent LB next off season . I think we have 2 years before the window closes on this core group of players.

As long as Alex Smith is their quarterback, I'll bet my house on a game in the playoffs. Fact.

I'd love to see this followed through with. The natural evolution of the t.v. shooter.

You are an old timer...hmmmm lets see born in 65, Saints started playing in 1967, think I saw my first game in 71.
Think I got you by a few years there little buddy!

BYW I do agree with some of your statement but some fans get a little amp sometimes and just need to vent.

What do you think will happen when we play a team with a good QB like ATL or DET? WE can not stop runs to the outside. There is so much this team needs to get better at.

It is what is known as a "figure of speech". Meaning . . . not to be taken literally. That said, I would bet a lot of money on the Saints in a playoff game against the 49'ers. Really, like I said earlier. They're fool's gold.

figure of speech or not, would be hilarious to watch. Not worried about SF at all, Saints are loaded with talent. Bad games happen, shite happens..people like drew brees get knocked down and get right back up. People like Jimmy Graham etc etc

My biggest concern in the playoffs would be the health of the players by that time. O Line needs to step the frick up, i will say that.
