Week 1 Rushing yards Saints 81 Packers 103 Loss
Week 2 Saints 118 Bears 61 Win
Week 3 Saints 101 Texans 101 Win
Week 4 Saints 166 Jags 104 Win
Week 5 Saints 108 Panthers 167 Win
Week 6 Saints 70 Bucs 125 Loss
Week 7 Saints 236 Colts 147 Win
Week 8 Saints 57 Rams 178 Loss

In our three losses we could not run the ball. The Rams had 4th and 2 a couple of times today and we all knew who was getting the ball. They converted both of them. If our Def line was playing better they would have never went for them and punted the ball. Sure we were getting pressure on the quarterback but they knew they could run the ball on us. Even when it was 3rd down and 28 a few times Jackson would get 16 or 18 yards which affected our field position when they punted. I could go on but I won’t. With that being said it still early and I believe it can be fixed.

It starts up front. The Saints have to find a way for our Off Line and Def line to play better especially on the road. Rodgers and Franklin were signed to help stop the run and so far is hasn’t work. I not saying it won’t but so far it has not. We still have 8 games left but our Off line and Def line has to get a nasty attitude. The Rams were getting pressure with 4 and dropping back 7 and Drew had a problem with getting to the receivers. The Saints needs that same formula on a consistently basics. The only way we get pressure on the quarterback is with the blitz. We have to find ways to run the ball. Screens, misdirection, draw plays, etc. If we can run the ball consistently that will keep defenses off their heels and play action will open up. Our next four games are against

Bucs, Falcons, Bye, Giants, Lions.

Go Saints!!!!!

Those stats are a bit skewed.

In the games where we had big leads we ran more to kill the clock.

In games we fell behind we couldn't afford the time loss from running and had to pass more.

So you knew that salas was gonna eat us up on fourth and short? Everybody thought Jackson was gonna get the ball and he didn't so they ate our lunch on those plays. Defense played fairly well o line just couldn't freaking block today.

The Saints are weak in the trenches on both sides of the ball. That's a problem that can't be fixed
during the season. It was an oversight to fail to fix it last off season.
