Missouri Fans - What happens to Wrestling with move to

What will happen to your wrestling program if you move to the SEC as SEC schools do not have wrestling? LSU did have a wrestling team until the mid 80's but discontinued it and men's gymnastics using Title IX as the reason if I'm remembering correctly. Is there another conference where Missouri could compete in wrestling if you move to the SEC for all other sports? Thanks in advance for your opinions.

Interesting question, I had not that about this. Wonder if you could just compete as an independent?

They could probably go independent or compete as part of another conference, a la the same way South Carolina and Kentucky both have a men's soccer team that competes in the CUSA.

From what I've been able to find LSU, Mississippi State, Auburn, Georgia, Kentucky and Florida all had wrestling programs.

LSU was ranked (#3?) at the time they disamantled the program...

I really hope they dont. I have heard that they could just wrestle independently.
