Anybody know if those guys are still involved in team activities...or is this just a game suspension?

Practice has been closed to the media since August, but I'm sure several people watched the whole thing.

Suspended from the game does not equal suspended from the team.

Actually...in this case...if it is truly a second violation...it DOES mean a mandatory team suspension.

LSU Drug policy
Minimum 5 consecutive day suspension from date of signed notification (no exceptions) from all athletic related activities (competition, practice, weight lifting, running, etc) per the recommendation of the treatment team.

It's listed right before the 15% thing being reported.

I think it is at least POSSIBLE that the reporting on that is not correct.

I think it's possible that this is actually a case of three players that had an earlier "probationary violation":

quote:

5. Probationary Violation Policy
1. A Probationary Violation is applied when there is a violation of the ADAP Substance
Abuse Policy that does not result in a permanent violation being recorded. However, if a probationary violation is given and a subsequent drug test reveals a confirming substance level a positive violation will be given in addition to the probationary test. If an additional test issued within 7 days from the original date of notification reveals a positive level (15 ng and above) the probationary violation will be removed and a positive issued.
2. Some potential reasons for a Probationary Violation (but not restricted to) are; Attendance Policy, Alcohol Policy, Drug Test Positive (< 15 ng/ml THC/marijuana), taking prescription medication without a valid prescription; or behaviors in which alcohol and/or drugs are the cause of the problem (i.e. DWI, drug possession, drug distribution, drug or alcohol related arrest, etc.)

...that has now become a true first violation and Miles decided he had had enough of it from these students.
