I mean flying up to play the mighty Seattle University redhawks could be a tough task
Look at these teams and getting worse every year:
Idaho, Denver, Utah State, San Jose State, Texas-San Antonio (2012), Texas State (2012), Louisiana Tech and New Mexico State. The other 2011-12 WAC schools are Fresno State, Nevada and Hawaii. Suddenly the sunbelt is looking better and better

I'm surprised they have not left yet. Appears they are holding out for a CUSA invite. They are trying to build a brand and do not want to go back to playing the directional LA schools in the Sunbelt again.

There are only shades of grey differences between Sunbelt and CUSA.

As soon as a C-USA slot opens up. Which should be any day with the dreaded Big East raid looming.

still a big one in perception though... Sun Belt teams need to beat top teams on the road like CUSA occasionally does... CUSA gets home games still that the Belt doesn't

Even if the WAC hadn't been reduced to the worst I-A conference, you'd think the travel costs would convince them to go Sunbelt. They have to send their men's tennis team to Moscow and their women's soccer team to San Jose and their coed tiddlywinks team to Hawaii.

Don't think that la tech will be getting in cusa anytime soon. Look for cusa to merge with the mwc or the big east ...

If another team other than UCF jumps ship from CUSA then it looks like Tech will be in. Tech recently being labeled as a Tier 1 National University and possibly moving to the LSU system will help their case out considerably. Also, there has been an increased amount of large alumni donations that have been announced in the past month which looks good.

Definitely have to get out of the WAC. Although Tech should be a lock to win it next year.

Hopefully a spot in CUSA opens up sooner than later.

I like Tech for CUSA. Gives Tulane a natural rival, something that hasn't been there since they moved USM to the East.

Still think that us a reach UNLESS Tulane leaves cusa ..

There has been a few more rumblings behind the scenes lately about tulane to the big 12 but I do not think that is very realistic either

Tech should be in CUSA and play some games in Sheveport - that town needs more than a few HBCU games a year

Supposedly, there is a clause that, if they leave for the Sun Belt, there is no penalty.

after the MWC and big east merger goes through then CUSA will probably add tech along with four other schools or how many they need to make it a 16 team conference. This is just my opinion but it looks like 16 team conferences are the only ones that will survive.

then this will be conference makuup in a few years

sec
pac 16
big 16
big east
acc
conference usa
2 more conferences making up the remaining 28 division 1 schools or 3 small conferences.

this is purely for football playing purposes only.

then you would have five AQ achools ande 3 wildcard schools and the 2 playing for the championship making up the BCS games.

What the hell are you talking about?

No one wants Louisiana Tech. I don't understand why the Techster fans can't realize this. You've got the Sunbelt. That's about it.

ULL and Tech need to accept their place as low end football programs.

I worked for the Athletic Department as a student worker under Dooley and there literally was a map of the US and mileage distances from Ruston to every Conference USA team in the coaches meeting room...this was in 2008. Don't hold your breath

here's the word:

Mizzou goes to SEC

Tulane will be invited to Big 12

La Tech then gets a offer from CUSA

the LaTech is a guess. The Tulane is not. Blew me away
