Ware beats them down and then Ford is strong/explosive enough to break the long run. Also, Ford seems to have the best vision of our backs. Blue is solid but just not as explosive.

Agree?

With a few more games experience I think that blue will be a better back, but at this point I have to agree.

Ford really struggles with pass blocking. With the shots we wanted to take down the field, we wanted Ware or Blue in there.

Do we have any .gifs or quotes from Miles to confirm this?

Or is this just one of those things that got started on the Rant, and now everyone just takes for truth?

This was discussed on WWL radio this morning, Blue is a better all around back due to his ability to pick up blitzes and catch the ball according to the guy they interviewed. I favor Blue anyway since he's a Hahnville guy.

About Blue: I think T. McGee has a bigger upside as a runner. I think Ford has a bigger upside as a runner.

But blocking was a requirement, else we would have been treated to seeing JL carted off the field, or else a pic 6 or two.

The combination of Ford's inability to block and Les wanting to get Blue some carries in wake of his personal life issues made for more carries for Blue. However I sort of agree Ford is the better runner with the ball in his hands.

FWIW, Can we get Blue at LB?? Love watching him on ST.

Could Ford have a nagging injury not being reported? While watching the replay last night, he wasn't even standing with the RB group ready to be substituted in. Blue and Magee were the available backs.

How does he go from our best back to 4th string in two weeks?

I've yet to see Ford completely miss a block that caused a sack or obvious QB hurry?

Or maybe I'm just not as observant as the Rant?

I love ford as a runner but poor blocking by the rb in this offense is a deal breaker. He's a monster in the weight room I'm sure he'll get it.
