Maybe he knew the kid would get booed so he figured let's go ahead and get it out of the way and behind us.

Ok, im not sure what the frick this is supposed to mean. Do other players have a choice to go into the game or not when the coach tells them too?

Then Miles brought this on the team more than anyone. He could have just as easily waited until the 3rd/4th quarter when I doubt anyone would have been surprised.

The logic behind booing is stupid anyway. It's inappropriate to boo a college player because he is just a kid trying his best. However, it's not inappropriate to boo a coach because he gets paid millions of dollars.
However, when the boo birds fly, there's no way to indicate WHO is being booed, and so if there's a doubt at all, then JUST DON'T DO IT!

What would this board be like today if JJ was stopped on 4th and 1. It would have been brutal in the stadium.
