How we got to where Lee is today

Here is my take on how Lee was unfairly characterized.
First - we all know that Perrilloux forced us into throwing Lee into a difficult situation as a freshman.
He was doing ok as a freshman sharing time with Andrew Hatch maybe not great but ok. Then the situation got even worse.
I have always wondered why a offensive play caller who had two freshman QB's would call plays where they would jeopardize their personnel. Running one of them who was 150 lbs soaking wet from harvard into an opposing SEC defense? Why was that even in the play book? That resulted obviously into a loss of him playing anymore football as QB for the Tigers.
This is the time I think Les was reffering to as Lee was baptized by fire. Once everything was placed all on his shoulders without any options he began to regress. The pick six mistakes because he tried to do all he could to win was the straw that broke his back.
I think this year we are seeing what could had been all along if we simply had called smarter plays by our OC back when Hatch was sharing time.
It seems to me to had been a perfect storm for a future quality QB.
