Current players cramping up versus 20 years ago

Players seem to be cramping up a lot more in the last three or four years than they were 20 years ago. What gives? One would think that what we have at disposal for hydration and minerals would be better now than then, yet to no avail.

read the junction boys and compare that era to now

Which is really strange when you think how pampered they are today versus 20 years ago. You were a pussy if you asked for water back in the day and now they have tons of water breaks throughout practice. You would think they would never cramp now.

The water breaks at practice are necessary thanks to the legal field.

Not just water breaks, but the "pre-workout gatorade", regular gatorade, and then the "post/recovery workout gatorade". That along with all these supplements, nutrients, workout shakes/smoothies they drink...makes you think. Back in the day you got a salt tablet, rub some dirt on it, and a "Shake it off, son." Sigh....back when men were men.

Plus personal dietitians, doctors, workout coaches, trainers, etc. You would think they'd never cramp.

Also no high powered offenses. the game is 10X faster than 20 years ago.

Al Gore told me it's because of global warming.

Joe Montana's 49ers would beat the shite out of anyone in the NFL now. Tommy Frazier's Nebraska team would do the same in college.

Don't you have some yogalates class to go to? Maybe you and your Yogi can go get a post, recover smoothie after your stretch.
I'm kidding by the way..

More heavily muscled? Back in the day, some of those athletes didn't even lift weights. Their workouts were limited to conditioning and agility.

Ehh...disagree with you on this one. That Nebraska team would thoroughly wear Alabama, Oklahoma, and LSU's arse out.

You were too young to remember those teams. The 49ers won the Super Bowl 55-10 over John Elway. In the playoffs they won by a combined score of 126-26. There isn't a team today that could compare with them.

You have obviously never talked to former nfl or college players. All former players I have talked to wouldnt have made the practice squads of their respective teams today.
Could you imagine Les playing O line in today's game?

Also, you're going to allow Jerry Rice in his prime to not be touched after 5 yards? He would put up 200 receiving yards with those rules.

The way football was played then is different than the way it is now.

Not in the NFL.
