honestly, it's what the franchise needs at this point.

if the rules are layed out in the new CBA like it looks like they will, we won't be able to afford CP, DW, and EO at their current salaries

it's time to blow this puppy up, trade CP for young pieces and draft picks, and start over

will the team still be in NOLA after all of that? Prolly not, unless a new owner steps up to the plate, but this team won't achieve a high level of success with our current roster. It's simple as that.

I may be wrong, but if there is no season we wont be able to trade Paul.

Getting a $45 million hard cap would cost the entire season or more, so if it comes to that West and CP3 will be off the books anyway. Both sides have too much to lose to throw away the season. We'll get a partial season with similar rules but probably fewer or reduced exceptions and a more punitive salary cap.

At that point we very well could have the worst team in NBA history. We really need a season

What a way to start my morning.

no matter who leaves our team, there will be a ton of free agents to choose from...

we'll be alright.

But thats worst case scenario

I think there is a greater worst case scenario. Relocation or contraction.

contraction may be better than a slow, pathetic Montral Expo-esque death that leads to relocation.

Barnes, Sullinger, Andre Drummond, Anthony Davis, and Perry Jones would have been picked 1st this past year over kyrie.

Next year's draft looks solid. If there IS a season, I'm still on the Trade CP to the Clippers and get players + Minny's lottery pick.

Two high lottery picks in this draft could set us up for a long time.

Blow it up...
