Just curious what everyone thinks 'cuz I have no idea. Will Les show a lot of it and make Alabama have to work harder on a defensive plan?

Les ran 2 "trick" plays vs west virginia when didn't need them IMO...the spencer ware halfback pass & the famous 4th down vs bama deangelo peterson run.

They pull out something new each week. They've been going POUND POUND POUND and now they're putting play action in places everyone things we're running.

Both teams might add a wrinkle or 2 for the game, but coaches aren't going to determine the outcome. It's gonna be who executes the best(I.e. Makes plays)

Yeah, that halfback pass kinda threw me. I can see Les trying to throw some 'misinformation' out there on the playbook.

"Vanilla playbook" is one of the most overused phrase on CFB. You don't know if you can run something in a game until you run it in a game, so you run the plays that your going to run.. By this point in the season, what you see is what you get, except for the odd trick play.

OK thanks. Was curious because if I recall in 2007, the plays evolved during the season and by the time we played Florida - it looked like the book was wide open.

This is how this works. every offense has base plays, plays the run over and over again. those are usually learned before the beginning of the season. then at the meeting each week they are given new plays for that game.

Something called, "Wild Tiger'' featuring Russell Sheppard would be nice or "Jailed Tiger'' featuring JJ if re-instated but only on a limited basis. JL IS THE MAN!!!!!!!!!

The best set up play was the one where JJ scored on in the Tennessee game last year. We had run that sweep many times in the games leading up to that, the defense naturally got sucked in.

I am sure he'll have something special for Bama. Something we haven't seen that far. And the Ware play can work over and over. I think its awesome our primary tailback and hit a receiver somewhat in stride.

I was as fooled as anybody on the 3rd and 1 TD pass to ODB. I was watching the game with a non-LSU friend and before the play said, "This is Les Miles football - line up and come right at you. You know where they're going and you can't do a damn thing about it ... and ... WTF?!? ... TOUCHDOWN!"

Lots of ground to cover between now and Nov. 5; Les never tips his hand unless he absolutely has to, but you can bank on him having something special for $atan and the Tide.
