Admit it, if you're guilty of comparing Miles to Larry Coker and his eroding program.

Do it now!

Just remember, it takes a big man to admit he made a mistake and an even bigger man to laugh at him.

I definitely compared he and Miles. I was WRONG. Miles had a rough go after the Ole Miss embarassment in 2009, and...he DID screw up. the start of last season was rocky at best, even though LSU was winning. JV North Carolina should have beaten LSU, Tennessee out-moron'd Miles, and Florida was un-lucky. Not to mention, he was an incoherent, bumbling train wreck when he spoke. then, Alabama happened. he seemed to change after that and since the Cotton Bowl, I've been really impressed. Miles has proved an awful lot to me so far this season and he IS NOTHING like Larry Coker.

Have we won anything this year? To my knowledge we haven't won a West Title in 3 years. All these wins are terrific but if we don't win the West it was all for nothing. I would rather have lost a game in one of these first 4 games than lose to Bama. I think we likely win the West this year but I wouldn't be running my mouth till we do if I were you. I assure you Les has bigger plans than beating a couple of overrated out of conference teams. This season will come down to one game. We can even lose to Florida if we beat Bama. That game is worth 2 games. Bump this thread up after that game.

As excited as I am about this team and what the season is shaping up as, champ is right on this one. It won't mean crap if we lose to Bama and don't get to Atlanta again.

I hope they stay focused.

Let's see, if we lose to bama then the season will end with
1. no trophies
2. LSU on probation

What will you say then?

And no, I wasn't saying that, I was saying that champ was right to note this team hasn't won crap yet.

I never compared Les Miles to Larry Coker.

Yes, I love Les Miles.

Yes, he screwed up at Ole Miss in '09.

And it's lovely that Crowton and JJ weren't involved with the first four games this season.

another great story about Les Miles

and another

and another

Most people feel like the team winning the west will win the National championship.

Yet, you say it like it if not winning would be a debacle. Why is that?

"To your knowledge?" Really, you smarmy frick? And will you please for the love of God answer my question of who had the better season last year, LSU or South Carolina. It's not that hard. Answer it.

from 01 to 07 we went to Atlanta every other year.

We don't go this year it will be 4 years since we have been. close is good, but LSU seasons are measured by titles. At least playing for titles.

I am NOT calling Miles a Coker. I am just saying it has been awhile since he won something.

I am NOT saying I don't like Miles and the direction the program is headed. Just saying that the bar has been raised by Saban and Miles himself and 9-4 Cotton Bowl visits every year is disappointing when titles are a part of your recent past and in a season when you held a number one ranking

I don't think it would be a debacle, just a disappointment

That sounds greedy. I guess it is.

And why the hell would I want LSU compared with S. Carolina at all? At least ask me who had a better season, LSU or Bama, or USC, or Texas, or Florida. Damn,

Here. Here.

The comparison looked to be perfectly on track following the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

Looking at the records it was almost unavoidable.

But Miles somehow pulled an 11-1 season out of his...hat last season with a string of bizarre wins.

And this year...

He fought his way out of it.
