I'm sry I really don't like my qb trying to block a DE where he could hurt his throwing arm or shoulder. A qb shouldn't be required to block.

maybe because he's a fricking QB. Granted, he played oline his frosh and soph yrs of HS, he's probably trying not to get hurt right now.

He's not supposed to be blocking there, should be open from the fake. Wasn't and caught him by surprise probably.

ok, you are correct he did not throw that block and that may very have sprung that play. BUT, judging his overall work, i do not want him hurt. we need him to win the sec.

So the QB gets a free pass to not block? your right. Put a hat on him! I think he played a good game but lets face it if Lee goes down we have a capable QB.

First off, the play took forever to develop, I think he thought Shep would be around him already, and by the time he realized it, it was too late to lay the block anyway. Most of the time, on kind of gentlemans agreement type thing the defense for the most part will leave a QB alone in certain situations like that, he tries to lay the block and he leaves himself open to get trucked.

That reverse play is meant for JJ at QB. I believe they did something similar vs Bama last year and JJ threw a pretty mean block.
