Anyone know any good bars for watching the game in the Memphis area?

Coach porter's house would probably be a good place to watch it.

A place called Next Door in the Cooper Young area is a good sports bar with lots of TVs that doesn't get too crowded.

Thanks WWD. Is it the kind of place where they expect you to sit down and eat or is it a good place to just sit around and drink?

LSU has a Memphis alumni group. They used to go to the Fox and the Hound. I have no idea where they go now, but here is their site. I'm sure you could get in contact with a few of the members if you like.

Thanks man. They actually have some info on their site. Unfortunately, Southaven is a bit far for me. But thanks a lot. I may give this group a shout some time.

Don't know why this thread was anchored.

I'm still somewhat new to the area. Haven't really ventured out much. I'd imagine there's a pretty big fan base up here. I see a lot of LSU paraphernalia on cars and what not.

I was told some LSU folks go to Central BBQ on Summer, good food, nice enough bar area, big place, but don't know if they do.

Also, some used to meet at the Irish Pub on Spottswood in the same center as Target, this is between Perkins and Poplar bounded by Perkins and Colonial, if that helps - don't go there hardly ever so can't think of the name.

I'm in Memphis to. Watching at my sister-in-laws though. Saw a fellow tiger fan down at the Kroger earlier.

The Flying Saucer. It's behind the Peabody. Kind of like a cross between Happy's and The Fox & Hound. Huge selection of beer on tap and cute waitresses dressed in shortl dresses and knee high socks.
