If the Big East and Big Twelve no longer have automatic BCS invites

Will this end the requirement that BCS conferences are limited to two participants in BCS games? Otherwise, these realignments could result in some pretty terrible BCS matchups.

That would end up being a big sticking point in the next negotiations, IMHO.

The Pac 12, Big Ten, SEC, and ACC would be guaranteed to have a seat at the table.

The Big 12 and Big East MIGHT retain theirs if the conferences survive, thanks to performances in recent years by Cincy, OU, and others.

The MWC would have a much better argument for inclusion if the Big 12 or Big East collapsed.

The Sun Belt, WAC, MAC, and C-USA are still on the outside looking in, barring a merger with a flailing Big 12 or Big East.
