Somebody please give me a good recipe. I'd prefer to do them like Claussen and not heat them, but I've tried 2 different recipes I found and neither have been good. One batch still tasted like cucumbers and I think I had too much vinegar in the other. I like them super dill and spicy.

I've done homemade a few times. I've pickled cucumbers with dill, with hot peppers and with vodka.

Honestly, unless you want to do a lot, it's cheaper and far easier just to buy them. And if you want more dill and heat than is offered, buy some dill spears and add some fresh dill and jalepenos and eat them like that.

I had on old copy of "Putting Food By" which many think is the Bible of preserving, pickling, etc. When I get home tonight, I'll see if I can find it and post a recipe.

Stop in Wal Mart or any Hardware store and buy the Ball Pickling Spice package and read the back.

Bread and Butter you only need sugar.

Dill you only need white vinegar.

Takes about twenty minutes and they are in the fridge. I have a bunch and I like it. Easy.

They are located where the canning jars are.
