Promoting/Selling the Right Jersey #'s

LSU began the season promoting #9 and #10 jerseys(I had issues with this even before the suspensions). Now those players aren't part of the active roster. Should there not be a push to promote, #2, #7(again) and #11?

2,3, probably 4,5,7,9,10, and 11 should be available every year, regardless of who wears them. We've had enough good players over the years wearing those numbers.

7 and 11 have definitely had some great tigers over the years. I suppose 18 would be a good jersey to have if someone of significant standing with the team is to wear it every year.

I've been trying to buy #7(gold)since the summer...funny to see #9 and #10 on clearance in bookstore before the season started

if you are a fan that likes to wear jerseys, you should just buy a #7 or #18 jersey.
I bought a #7 jersey back when it was Ali Highsmith's (i think). I have actually never worn it, but i let someone else wear it to the game on Saturday.

With the roster turnover what it is in college it's silly to buy a jersey number based on a particular person. Since I bought my jersey seven years ago the number's been used by everyone from the starting QB to a walk-on who never saw the field.

The only 2 jerseys I have are 25 and 14. I am happy with both. I love WRs and came very close to getting a 9 for Doucet or 80 for Bowe, but never did.
To me, though, pro football is more of a commercialized jersey sport while college football is basically t-shirts. I just bought the jerseys to have them and really only wear them the day before games when I am out of town.

Bought a #7 (purple) last off-season.. Great purchase is an understatement

it does depend on the year...however, most years there are multiple jersys promoted. I believe there was talk about #18 being the "staple" jersey, signifying team leader; or something like that

Glad I'm set as far as jersey #s go, got my 8 in white for Mett, 15 in gold for Randall, and 9 in pro combat for Ego haha

i bought a white #5 a few yrs back when it was on ridiculous sale. never worn it.
