This first game might be a microcosm of our season offensively. It was ugly early on but got better as the game went on. I expect the same as the season progresses. This offense will continue to improve.
This is an offense that had the plays called by an OC that has only been on the job for a month and that hasn't called plays in some time in an offense that is not even his.
The QB has only been taking a majority of the snaps for 1-2 weeks with the first unit. Many of the passes early on looked like a result of nerves and lack of timing with the receivers. He looked better later on in the game. I don't think Lee will be all conference, but he will be better than he showed tonight.
The wide receivers are inexperienced and will get better. If they don't, it will be hard to get RR the ball with all of the double teams that he will see. Shepard's suspension didn't help.
For all of the inexperience at OC, QB, WR, etc., it didn't look like a Chinese fire drill out there like it has in previous seasons. There were no delays on offense, everyone seemed to know where to line up, etc. From that aspect, I was pleased. I think (hope)everything else will work out with time.

I agree, not perfect and room for improvement, but the organization and execution were much better than what we saw last year.
At least it looked like an offense in control of the situation.
