Need some real time advice guys. I have a camp down the bayou south of Dulac. It is about 9 feet off the ground. A nice generator lies within.

My 19 ft Mako is in a shed on a trailer at Four Points Marina with the plug out.

Should I take off work and haul arse from BR to get either the boat or the generator???

I'd go get them, but I've been taught to expect the worst

I am looking at the Houma nav right now and looks about a foot higher than it was on tuesday. I would definitely get your boat.

At four point I would think they are going to get water in the parking lot. If this thing turns into another Won then your boat might just float away. If it were mine i would go get it. Just my two cents

ETA: Two + days of 30+ mph south winds is going to put at least 3' of water on the bank down there.

I rolled the dice and did not go down. Probably the right decision. I hope. I'll know something later today...

Does anyone have any reports from Dulac? I can't get a hold of the marina owner. I had one buddy bail out of Dulac at midnight on Saturday. He said the water was about a foot high and rising on southern Four Points road.

Any information is appreciated. I can't get down until next w/e.

Water was up, but not near as much if we didn't have the Lap Canal closed off. No silt to speak of which is great.
We are able to see across the new levee from our vantage point. At most all high tides we couldn't see any marsh across the levee. In normal situations like that w/o the levee we would have had a serious amount of water under the camp.

I'm going to my shed in Dularge today. I know it got water. Thankfully my boat was in a shed in Houma because I was in Arlington. Going down with the pressure washer later this morning around 10.

i heard the water was on the road in Fisherman's Retreat and it came close to getting into falgout canal marina. If the OP's boat was on a lift I am sure it was fine. Just a little too close for comfort IMO. The water just got over the top of our slab under our camp near Robinson Canal in chauvin so probably about 12" deep in our parking lot. We are 7 miles from the end of the road.

ETA: I would expect that it is dropping pretty good now.
