I knwo there's another thread on it but I don't get teh love other than the fact that it was shot on a shoestring budget. It's not bad by any means, but I don't understand the cult type following unless you really needed to see it 15x time understand it.

Spoiler*

I guess knowing it was a time travel movie it was easier to see it through and catch stuff the first time. The only thing I didn't catch was the explanation for the dad following them or getting in the box.

I think the Dad in the box was to show that the longer the box was left running, the crazier things would get.

The first few trips were a breeze, but then you start running into more and more future selves and any lurker that finds the box.

No matter what you know or have heard about it, no one really gets it the first couple of times they see it. I found it interesting that the protagonists are just regular guys and the time machine they created is not portrayed as a suave ultra high tech contraption with a dozen blinking lights. Yet the whole narrative was surprisingly not amateurish.

I probably could go back and pick up on way more stuff but I got to where i was anticipating a "reveal" with every shot. To me it wasn't about figuring out the details as much as a movie about how scientific experiments usually do not work out the way we calculate them to. A. the movie spent 30-40 minutes explaining the process of their experiment and what might be the outcome. B. all predicted outcomes never came about.

The kind of stuff talked about in this movie just really gets my mind working overtime. And I think that's what I liked so much about it.

I can see how it wouldn't be as enjoyable to someone who doesn't give a shite about all the technicalities of the time travel.
