Like it or not, the lead up to this season has seen many twists and turns already.

1. Kragthorpe steps down due to unfortunate health issues. Although a truely sad story, how does this move impact Lee's ability to progress?

2. Russell Shepherd is out for the first game. Who are the go-to receivers? Shep was not catching a great deal to begin with.

3. Who is (are) the leader(s)? Who steps up and rallies the players to fight in the face of adversity?

4. If Les Miles is a good leader to his players and fellow coaches, how good is he at developing that in others?

Krags is still QB coach which is the most important job he had.

We have a lot of young talent at receiver, and I think they can replace Shepard.

This is a good question. If some have developed this team has a shot, but I am pretty sure there will be some on the defense at least.

No one knows. We've continue to have a general trend of decline in leadership every year Les has been here in my opinion, particularly since 07 with 2009 and 2010 defenses being the only improvement in my mind. I do think Les will get it done though, he has an excellent staff.

Kragthorpe is still working with the QB's. So him stepping down as coordinator won't hurt Lee at all

After Randle, its Wright and Boone

Ware and Randle on offense, Mathieu, Reed, and Taylor on defense. Although the players dont realy need a leader to get pumped up for a game.

Who fricking cares? This isnt some cheesy football movie, this is real life where talent >>> leadership

In 08, we didnt lose 5 games because of leadership, we lost it because of poor defense and pic 6's. In 09 we lost 3 games, not because of leadership, but because of a bad o-line and poor QB play

1. We'll have to see. Obviously Jefferson has been our guy all year but I seriously doubt Lee has just been ignored. Thats what a QB coach does, he focuses all his attention on our QBs. If he could improve Jefferson (which is what was reported) then he can do just fine with Lee.

2. Losing your starting WR is huge and Shepard was poised to break out this season. I still think we have an insane amount of talent to not miss a beat. James Wright has gotten awesome praise. Randle is our go to guy anyways.

3. The known leaders on the defense are Baker and Taylor. Those guys know whats going on. On offense I think Lee is vocal enough and has enough heart to be that guy. Spencer Ware is y
oung but I'll be damned if the guy can't be a leader.

4. I have no idea what you're asking.
