What will the national perspective be on LSU now in regards to the Oregon game?

Shepard is already suspended, lets assume JJ will be too. Will Oregon now be favored (I would assume so)? If LSU does lose will LSU get a pass in regards to the national championship race?

All of the idiots on here who love calling people "thugs" for celebrating after touchdowns will have to take a long hard look in the mirror.

I'm fairly certain the general public hates us right now. Everyone is still feeding off of the sensationalized story that "that thug Jefferson drug a man out of his truck, beat him up, then turned and beat up an upstanding marine who just returned from tour duty and finished him off by kicking that poor poor marine in the head."

Not sure if that's the perspective you were referring to, but I'm pretty sure that's how many people are viewing this situation now.

They will say the strength of the LSU team is depth, and that Jefferson could have been the weakest link.

I was actually going more from a football angle. Kind of like how North Carolina was viewed when they played us that it was a foregone conclusion that we would blow out the Tarheels. I feel all of Tiger Nation believes we can and will win the game but do you think from outside our state that the perspective would be that it would be an upset now for us to beat Oregon?

I really don't care what they say. I think LSU still wins the game. Handily.

Well, in that case...I think it's about 50/50. I don't this changed anyone's mind who was pulling for us against Oregon.

the beauty about that question, LSU FANS COULD GIVE A shite! We don't care what the national perspective is about us, we actually would rather people think that way so we can do the happy dance in their face!!!

Exactly. I love how the media spun this one. So what if he kicked someone in the head, they were in a fight, it happens.

As for the Marine thing, my question is this...How did anyone know he was a Marine? Did he tell the bar when he walked in? Cause if he did, he is just a dick. How could anyone have known unless he had on a uniform!??

That is exactly what I am curious about. All of Tiger Nation still believe we win the game and don't even doubt it (And that is not looking through the P&G glasses either). I wonder if everyone else would have us with no chance of beating Oregon.

ESPN will be all over The ducks nuts now. All of them will say that LSU has no shot. Which is fine with me. BTW how IRONIC is it that Herbie has Ohio State winning its division in the SLOW TEN.

When you add up all the stories that are out, LSU is looking like Switzer's Oklahoma team from the early 80's.

Qb with 49 pair of shoes arrested, brawl, Players suspended indefinately, ties renegade scouting services, and another gun fight incident involving LSU players that was buried until now.

God forbid a soon to be dismissed player decides it's time to "spill the beans" on Outside the Lines.
