Seeing as we have very limited experienced depth at WR now, anybody else think we should split out DeAngelo Peterson and let Clement and Joseph handle TE duties? Just a thought ....

Sounds good to me.

What about his speed? Is he fast for a TE?

Works for me. DeAngelo is a freak athlete and we kinda waste him sometimes at TE. Yes, he alligator armed that 1 catch and looked like a vag, but there is no denying the ability is there.

He will get better mismatches at TE I think. Wright and Boone will be fine at WR. Don't expect us to throw a ton though.

That wont happen...but I just told my friend that i bet we see a lot of designed plays going to him. As we should. Dude is a complete mismatch!

I posted that very thought in an earlier thread.

At 6'-4", 235, DeAngelo would be a beast for a corner to cover if he's spread out wide.

Negative. A great pass-catching TE is an invaluable asset off the O-Line. Especially for a QB who needs confidence and an outlet (Both JJ and JL in my opinion). Just my 2 cents.

Gary Crowton just never knew how to use him.

Yeah, but our other TE's can catch passes. Right?

40 time is 4.73

He's not a blazer but seems to get open and has pretty good hands. Might be a good safe option for whoever is playing qb.

Clement is a damn good TE. He will shine before it is said and done. Don't forget Big E is looking down on him!

they can.

D-Lo may get split wide for a mismatch a time or 2, but I think we got WR covered with Wright, Boone, and ODB to step up next to Randle.

Clement is real good. Joseph, and Edwards can both catch and block efficiently. DP lined up in a WR slot last year a few times, so it's not out of question
