Correct, although it operates on a completely different network than Sprint's CDMA network. It is getting phased out starting in 2013. It was a terrible merger imo.

This is just a rumor fwiw anyways. If they did get it though than Sprint would see a surge in subscribers. I hope they do just so that they will rool out 4G LTE with Lightsquared and Clearwire. With the Nexus Prime and iPhone 5 they would dominate.
