VIDEOS: super racist/sexist/unhealthy advertisements and shows, a look back

I've been YouTubing old advertisements and shows from the '50s and '60s, just for the fun of it, and am astonished at just how much acceptability standards in advertisements have changed.
I've provided two of the most drastic examples below: the first is a Flintstones advertisement for Winston cigarettes, the latter is a clip from the Looney Tunes episode "Southern Fried Rabbit," which most networks have refused to air for more than 30yrs. It makes Disney's "Song of the South" look tame by comparison.

Yes, I realize that that was the culture back then, and we're looking at history (not a modern attempt at racism/sexism), but it's still just so shocking to see. I'd be lying if I didn't admit that I found it a bit funny though, lol.
What do you guys/gals think? Discuss. :)

"All this and rabbit stew" is the title. I picked up one of those cheap looney tunes compilations for my son at a truck stop while traveling and it was on there. I couldnt believe my eyes.

But(if it's anything like my experience as a child) the kids don't see it, they just appreciate the funniness of the whole thing.
I guess that's the way it should be; covering up history really benefits no one, IMO anyways.

First, it's "Yosemite" (third grade-level spelling, anyone?). Secondly, there's a rather marked difference between made-to-look-stupid, versus throwing in just about every possible racist colloquialism and physical stereotype into a single (1off) character all at the same time... not experienced enough yet to differentiate the two?? Sad.

The greatest thing about Coal Black is that Bob Clampett got many of the best jazz musicians in LA to do the voices and based the characters on them.

For example?? Care to link some?
I'm open minded. Im born and raised in the south so I'm not quick to shout racist and typically have a similiar view of things like this that you're taking. But I kind of find it hard to believe someone couldn't see how that was offensive.

The black hunter and elmer fudd are pretty much the same character except one is the backwoods dumb black person stereotype and the other is the backwoods dumb white guy stereotype.

Elmer was never really depicted as a backwoods character. More like a city slicker who was clueless at the outdoors. Not racist at all actually.
