I am just a little nervous about Jamaal Charles this season because Sir Charles Weis is no longer the OC in KC. Even though HC Todd Haley is a run first man I am just a little worried about J.Charles living up to expectations. He is not on either of my fantasy teams, but he is a first rounder. I would choose someone else over J.Charles.

(I am in a PPR - 12 man dynasty league - start 2 RBs and 1 RB/WR/TE at flex which basically = 3 RBs)

Just wanted y'all to think about that a little. First round? Yes

was not questioning if he is a first rounder because he is... i am just not comfortable with him. Sir Charles Weis lives in Gainesville now and probably will not be calling in plays for the Chefs (no typo)

Yep.... advantage = Thomas Jones by 15 stinking carries

Do you also realize they ran the ball 100+ more times in 2010 than 2009???? 2010 = 556 ... 2009 = 438

Do you also realize Sir Charles Weis was the OC in 2010 where Todd Haley called plays in 2009 and will be calling them again in 2011?

draft him with confidence if you want him - i WOULD let some one else take him...

ok whether or not it was 15 carries or more the fact is thomas had MORE carries than charles and he still put those numbers up, the whole point of that statement is that Jones' carries will go down considerably and Charles' up obviously. meaning he should put at least close to the same numbers if not better.

So McClain isn't going to get any carries?

...McClain is a FB so no not nearly enough. look you guys are skewing what im saying. my point is Charles WILL get more carries than he did last year so irts only logical barring injury to think he will put up the same if not better numbers.

go look at the teams KC played last season = AFC South and NFC West defenses............. that might have a LITTTTTTTTLE something to do with it WINK (also KC played Buffalo)

2011 = KC v NFC North and AFC East (i can think of a few defenses in those divisions that are worth a damn compared to AFC South and NFC West) with a bonus game versus NFLs best rush defense = Pittsburgh..... YAYAYAYAYAY

conclusion = KC's Strength of Schedule in 2011 is not like the cake walk in 2010

please argue this one and i will call you stubborn

Upon closer review, McClain doesn't scare me anymore. I will now be happy if I have to take Charles this year.

im not arguing stregnth of schedule but he also gets to play a Nnamdi-less Raiders team 2x and a weak Broncos team 2x. im not saying he will be the #1 RB by any means but he will def get his.

quote:

NFC North and AFC East

Bears- give you that one
Vikings- mediocre at best rush D especially with the loss of ray edwards
Pack- lost Cullen so their line will suffer somewhat but still a good D
Lions- eff that lol ill give you that one a silver platter(prob a single digit game for charles)

Boys-hahaha No
Eagles- Tough
Redskins- lmfao more
Giants- probably and average rush D, should get his.

Honestly those teams as a whole are not that strong he has maybe 4 at the most tough games...but what RB doesnt?

Just did some research, because now I'm interested..

First off the Chiefs went 4-12 in 2009 and were outscored 424-294, compared to going 10-6 and outscoring opponents 366-326 in 2010. That's the number one reason they ran the ball that much less.

Second, I went back and figured in rushing attempts only by running backs in 2009 and it came out to be 387. In their first 9 games they ran 189 times for 21 per/game and in their last 7 they ran 189 times for 28 per/game. The reason for splitting up those games is because their last 7 games is when Charles broke out and took over for Larry Johnson. So it appeared that Todd Haley did in fact run the ball just as much as they did last year, once it was discovered what Charles could do.

now this i cannot answer...but i believe if charles stays healthy he will be worthy of a top 5 pick. maybe even 4 with the CJ2k holdout uncertainties.

They play the Vikings in week 4 so take out Kevin Williams who will be serving his last game of suspension with Will Smith.
