I lived in South Stadium in the fall of 1986, and remember having to move my car friday afternoon at 5:00 to give space for rv's. My question is this: were we so far ahead of our time with respect to tailgating and cooking out, or were folks doing this sort of thing at other schools or professional teams?

Yeah, I usually use this example to tell people how crazy it's always been at LSU, but I could be wrong. We'll see what comments we get.

I remember campers showing up on Thursday afternoons when I started fall of '81.

I'm concerned that LSU is going to kill it with fees and regulations. Fans are becoming dollar signs.

Yep. I was in hatcher that same year and remember the fans showing up as early as wednesday evening. We used to walk the parking lot just to get free beer. Definitely remember having to move our cars. Pain in the arse.
