I know you were just kidding, but I want to feel ya in a little about Oregon fans. I could never see a Oregon fan punching someone. Almost all UO fans are not that way. IF there are a couple, they are new bandwagon type fans. Most of you Southern Boys think we all are hippies and hug trees. Granted we do have a lot of them here, but that is not the majority at UO football games. We tend to be vocally abusive to reffs or whatever, but I really cant ever see a UO fan punching another guy, of if they did, they probably just became a fan a year ago or such. The most we ever do is throw dog biscuits at our hated rival UW. And they in turn for our games there put little rubber duckies in the public toilets to float at their home games for us. Most fans are just silly with us. It comes from our tradition of sucking and being the worst in the PAC all those many years until 1994. The only way we had fun at game or with our pathetic team was to make it fun and dress up or get silly. Our fans are just silly. But violent would be the opposite of the description of our fans. Our D may be, hard hitting and such, always has been so, but our fans are extremely gentile except for vocal stuff. I promise you, not one UO fan will at all start a fight over there in Dallas. Ask Tenn, ask AU fans, they all have found our fans so laid back and eager to talk football. Even if you came to Eugene, and played us at home, I do not think you would have one fan complain about the scene. We are not like Southern guys who just get drunk and try to pick a fight. That does not mean we do not have good fighters, only, it is not in our nature to fight at around a UO football game. Don't push us, but you sure wont see any of us starting anything either. Yes we have many libs, probably 50 percent. But the other half is conservative, Duck hunters/ hunters and such. UO as a school may be highly liberal, but the football fan base draws many locals and conservatives. And all types collectively join as one around UO sports. We are the last type to throw beer on ya. And you all should have no worries at all. You will have much fun around UO fans in Dallas!
