Jerrard Randall

I've been hearing reports that conflict a bit with what I saw at practice on Friday about Jerrard Randall. Anyone else in Gridiron want to correct me on a few things?
One of my biggest takeaways from Friday's practice was Jerrard Randall was a huge steal. Not only was he bigger than I expected, but he appeared to be a much more polished passer with great form and a high release point. Not to mention his lightning fast feet.
Granted I only saw him throw during warm ups (he was held out of drills due to arm soreness, i believe), but he was looking very good in limited action.
I also left thinking he was probably a solid 6'1'' to 6'2''. But looking at the pictures online, he looks pretty damn short (keep in mind, he's standing between Mett and Rivers in most of those pictures).
I also left very impressed with that walk on from Barbe (Butler, is it?). A bit undersized, but the kid was athletic and accurate--arguably the most accurate along with Mett of all the underclassman. Rivers showed promise, but needs work with mechanics and footwork. A 6'7'' guy shouldn't be throwing the ball from the same release point as a 6'1'' guy. That said, he showed a lot of promise.
And Mett still throws the hell out of the ball. I don't care how deficient he might be in other areas--put him on the field and let him throw, and he'll go JaMarcus Russell on some people.

He's damn near half a foot shorter then Rivers so of course he looks short.

I was trying to see how tall he was compared to Lee. I'd say Lee is apprx 6'1. He definately looked shorter than JJ (6'4'').

Looking forward to some scrimmage reports. The stats realeased by LSU were borderline propaganda last year (combining the stats of QBs, etc.)
