They should have some purple and gold stripes. Plain white...

In 1988 my brother was training to be an equipment manager at LSU and after the Ole Miss game they threw away about 50 pairs of purple stockings with the white athletic socks at the bottom (see team photo).
My high school team had purple in our uniform so I climbed into the dumpster behind the North End Zone and dug up the stockings. For the next 2 years...my high school wore LSU's worn purple stockings for our games.
For the record...the stockings were way cooler than the plain white socks! I agree with you 100 percent!
