and it was very good. He loved Tiger Stadium and the atmosphere in the SEC. His offensive philosophy was really an interesting read. Good book.

It was Kentucky - book had a couple of comments that I thought were interesting from Leach:
On what he looks for in a Quarterback:
"Arm strength is about 6th on the list of what I look for in a quarterback. First I want to know how accurate he is and if he can make good decisions."
Playbooks - he does not have one:
"I think playbooks are outdated. Now everything is on video, and you playbook is your cut ups."
On players making the same mental mistakes all the time:
"You’re either coaching it or allowing it to happen."
He never played a down of college football and attributes that to his out of the box thinking.
He is not a big fan of ESPN either.

My first LSU game was 1997 Florida.

I read some of the book yesterday. His account of peeing on the dog was so hilarious and I laughed so hard it gave me the hiccups. What a great mind this guy has! He is certainly misunderstood as a coach, but more so as a person. As they used to say about Bill Clinton, he was the brightest guy in the room, or on the field. And he calls time out when he needs to at the end of a close game.
