University of Texas Football becomes Independent in the next 5 years.....

What do you think? My guess is because no one will want to play with the brats anymore. 2 are already gone. Now the rest of the conference is meeting discussing the new TV station and the deal with ESPN...discuss!

Rumor is A&M is voting today or tomorrow on joining the SEC. I think they are getting pissed at being little brother. Texas will have to go independent in the next 3 years because they won't have a conference.

SEC will be a "super" conference if they add any more teams. I'd see the WAC and maybe Sunbelt beefing up before the SEC. However, I think adding aTm would help extend LSU's reach into Texas. Just really waiting for the boom to drop on this. Tejas is getting way too big for their own britches.

The smaller conferences are hurting for teams so that's why i throw them out there as candidates. However, do you see the SEC or Big10 going out there and cherry picking just because they are available? Just wondering how willing they would be to up the conferences to 14 teams.
Hell, maybe they all break off and form a completely new conference with out Texas.
