and WOW did auburn tackle well. their D played great. very disciplined, good tackling, never wilted under oregon's pace. we will have some advantages b/c of the long time to prepare for the game, and it will take oregon a quarter and half for them to find some rhythm, but man im not sure we can play a defensive game quite like auburn did. i guess thats how you hold a team to 30 points under their season average......

Auburn's defense last year was underrated, especially towards the end of the season. Everybody shouting they were a "1-man team" were flat out wrong.

i think auburns D was greatly aided by seeing their own offense's dynamic spread ability everyday in practice. i think there D played really well, but aside of an amazing fairley, wasnt all that great

They weren't great, but they got better and played outstanding in their 2 championship games.

They played better but Fairly was such a dominate force, he almost disrupted every play. He made the entire defense better. He was that dominant.

To beat Oregon, it's going to take a combination of defensive line pressure, solid tackling and good conditioning.

Cecil Newton is disguised as the bird's keeper the whole 2nd half. A man of the clawth.

LSU's offense made their secondary look great

Oregon was able to move the ball by passing. Auburn's secondary was not that good. Auburn was able to shut down their rushing attack. We do not have a Fairley, but Secondary is way better and defensive line as a whole is stronger.
