Chances of Deion Jones being offered a scholarship?

Anybody in the know as far as how the staff rates Deion Jones? Does he have a real shot at a scholarship offer, and if so does it come at the expense of Otha Peters? I just can't see us fitting both of those guys in this class.

Have to give it to Jones. He's one of Collins's best friends. So, if its close, you'd think its Jones.

I think it comes down to the summer camp between him and Otha, with Richie Brown (Nick James' teammate) with an outside shot.

Nobody who would be in the know could or would answer that. It's best of the 3 gets the offer.

Well, you just partially answered what I was getting at...is there only room for 1 of the 3?
You gotta hope that Debo Jones wins that competition, given his ties to LC. But Otha Peters looks like a really good prospect, and at the moment has the better offer list.
On the plus side, losing Lorenzo Phillips doesn't even sting at this point. But we need to land Devall to make up for it.

I forgot to mention Devall as well, who they are looking at at MLB (Which is frightening)
I think Devall is an instant take and I would call it quits after that. We are already crunched for numbers, can only pick up 21, and we still have to lose 3 players from attrition or possibly grey-shirt some, which would add on to this class

I suspect that between Feist and Devall, one of them will eventually grow into a DE. Feist is probably up to like 240 now and is actually rated as a weakside DE on Rivals, and I listened to an interview with his coach after he committed and the coach mention that he could easily be a DE. That often gets overlooked.
Granier and Lamar Louis are definitely LBers, and I see two out of the trio of Feist, Davis, and Devall becoming DE's over time. So I think it's fair to say that we have 3 LB commits at the moment, and not unreasonable that we should take 1 more given that we only took one LBer last year.

Nothing wrong with taking 4 linebackers in this class. I liked the system that Chavis had which had 4 linebackers rotating through all the positions. This gives every LB versatility in case someone gets hurt and keeps the group fresh. I wouldn't mind seeing 5 linebackers rotate through especially against no huddle offenses.

Does anyone know what Devall's relationship was with any of the former Bastrop players on LSU now?

Didn't he play on the same line as Josh Downs?
