Actors and sex scenes.

I should probably just google this, but in intense sex scenes, are they actually doing it, and if so, do they get to finish? 
Another question: If you're married to an actor who is in these love scenes, can you just watch and not think your spouse is cheating, simply because they're in character?

I read up on it a little bit and its against the guilds, or whatever unions the films are in to actually have sex. very few movies have unsimulated sex. the two i listed are recent and famous, but caligula is probably the most famous.
