I'd say the 91, 93 and 97 teams would have won it. The 96 and 2000 might have been a toss up.

Exactly what I was thinking. I still say we win them all though!

IMO

91 team would've lost because they weren't better
93 would've won because they were better
96 would've won because of the way they won game 1, Miami, while maybe the better team, would've fell over and died
97 would've won because they were better
00 would've won because of the way they won game 1, Stanford would've rolled over in game 2

I say 96 would have lost in 3. That Miami team was loaded. 97 and 2000 would have won but in different ways. 97 beats Bama easily in 2. 00 squeaks out a series win on the pitching of Tallet and Hodges.

I was too young for 91 and 93 to comment.

Doesn't make a good argument to factor in the actual games played. A 1 game series is a lot different than a 3 game series.

If we are assuming those national title games are game 1's of the 3 game series, thats how i see them playing out

Why are you assuming that? He didn't say that. He said how would those teams have fared if they had to play a 3 game series instead of 1.

Obviously they would not have fared any better than they actually did, so IDGAF.

I agree. 1996 probably loses a 3 game series to Miami. 1991 vs Wichita probably would've been a good series, but I think LSU wins. I don't see 1993, 1997, or 2000 losing a best 2 out of 3 to anyone.

The 1997 Tiger squad was one of the best college baseball teams ever.
