I'm fairly sure this is a typo in the video, but I was watching some highlights of Randall and noticed that at the beginning of this video, it has him listed as 6'1" 275.

LINK

Either way, looks like a great athlete.

They probably switched the 2 and 1. I've seen him listed around 6'2" 175ish.

Looks like a slightly taller RS. Do you think we keep him at QB? Could see him and Rivers rotating like Flynn and RP in '07. If we land Winston we're going to be stacked at QB for the first time since flynn-JR-RP.

Either way? if he is 175 he is a great athlete. If he is 275 and moves like that he is a freak of nature and made of a significantly denser material than normal humans.haha

6' 2" 175 maybe 180 is probably the most accurate. And he is definately a QB, IMO

Have you seen his arm? He can hit 80 yards. He's a QB all the way. No way waste an arm like that on a guy who can run sub 4.5.

If it's true about the 80-yard arm, then I don't see how.

Just a gut feeling, nothing more. I hope I am wrong though. He was the QB I wanted last year.

Everyone is talking about the depth we have at QB, and though they are right, only one can start. Rivers can't be anything but a QB, but if need be Randall can be moved around to avoid attrition.

After next year..

1. Zach Mettenberger
2. Jarrard Randall
3. Stephen Rivers
4. Jameis Winston
5. Barrett Bailey (Walk On)
6. Jared Foster (Walk On)

Isnt that right? We lose JJ and Lee

Bailey already quit FB. Still at LSU, but it was interrupting his party time so he quit

There will be 2 QB's in the 2012 class since we lose two QB's.

So if we get Winston, then we will take one more. probably more of a prostyle QB.

id rather a QB with brains than one with a great arm

honestly though his development is already set back because of how he was used in HS.

Even a guy like Matt Flynn came from more of a running offense, but you can tell he had worked hard on his passing game before he came to LSU

not only does Randall ooze raw athletic ability, but he looks rather raw as a passer.

guys like Marcus Vick and Reggie Ball could throw the shite out of the ball, but they werent good passers.

Now if Krag changes the offense to more of a spread option attack(which i doubt) then I could see it. But i dont think this kid will play much QB at LSU.

and quite honestly you dont win championships with undersized athletic QBs that have trouble throwing the ball.

i've seen him throw in person. dude has a cannon for sure. the good news is he really has three years to potentially develop at qb.

Would be a waste moving him. We need QBs, not another WR/CB. Guy has to develop before he looks good. If JJ can stay at QB for 4 years, don't see how this guy moves. Has way better highlights than JJ and looks to be more polished passer coming out of HS. His arm looks pretty good, I'd like to see confirmation on the 80 yard arm though. If that is true, don't see how LSU can move him with our need there...
