Headed to the island this weekend for a guys weekend. Where are the fish biting, on what, etc. Plan on catching some reds and specs. we are also kicking around the idea of catching a few mangrove(sp.) snapper.

Real simple:

1. Live Shrimp
2. Fish the front/back side of island based on wind direction. (fish the calm one)

looks like the weather roport is calling for the wind to be 10 mph which will probably translate to 15-18. How rough will that make the gulf

Talk to your uncle. I talked to him a few weeks ago and he said they were doing good. He told me the specifics but I was really putting them down so I don't remember.

See my post under weekend fishing results.......

Caught most of our fish on plastic (clear sparkle beetles)......some of the nicer fish came on live shrimp and pogies.

Its been blowing like a mofo for two months straight. Just fish the rocks on the front or back based on wind direction. Find the clean water and you'll catch trout.

A guy posted the yolutube video here of all the white trout and shrimp by the bridge. Is this a nightly occurance when the tide starts moving
