Lafayette area boat launches

Just moved to Broussard last weekend, looking for somewhere to go run my boat tomorrow. Any recommended spots to launch from out here?
Just looking to joy ride and maybe do a little wakeboarding.

Two that come right off the bat are Rotary Point off West Bayou, and around Beaver Club off Evangeline Throughway. I wouldn't wake board or swim in the Vermillion. A couple of friends have gotten E. coli in there. Also there is a man made lake behind the airport. IDK if it is open to the public or not but I would try over there.

the vermillion isnt bad if you go down he river towards abbeville... but honestly, i'd launch at cypermort point

Yea, in the Lafayette are the Vermilion is terrible, but go down further and its not so bad.

You can launch at Beaver park. It's right in front of the airport at the corner of HWY 90 and University. It should be a straight shot up HWY 90 from Broussard.
