Do any of you keep up with the Libertadores? Santos and Penarol advanced to the finals this week. Penarol will host the first leg next Wednesday and Santos will host the return leg the following week. Santos has a very young and exciting team with lots of sick talent. They have 4 players who have played in the national team at some point and are led by Neymar who is tearing it up more and more with each passing game. I am salivating at the prospect of a Santos vs Barcelona World Club Championship.

I will definitely have to give Barca the edge but I would not count Santos out. It would surely make for an exciting game.

i agree that the match would be fun to watch (well, as fun as a barca match could be for a madridista ) but i just don't see santos winning

Depends on how much of the current Santos team is on the team come the CWC.

If Santos doesn't win the Libertadores then the team will be picked apart by the Euros before their seasons start back up. However, if they pull it off then I think most of the players will stay until the Barca game. Ze Eduardo is likely to leave as I am pretty sure he already signed a contract. Ganso is 50-50 IMO and he must stay for Santos to have any shot at Barca.

Just saw that the finals won't start until 2 weeks from now. There is an off week between the semis and the finals. That should help Ganso get back on the field.
