Looks like a great class. I would not count on more than 7 making it to LSU

We've signed about 20 guys. I would bet just about anything more than 7 make it to LSU.

More than 7 from that group really isn't inconceivable either, just from a draft stand point.

Story won't be here.
Eierman and Cave more than likely won't be here.
Decent chance of Nola being here.
Pretty good chance of Glenn, Baranik, and Magee being here.
Moore, Johnson, Powell, Strickland, and Sciambra should be here.

Baranik isn't as good as yall make him out to be.. He was 4-3 and didn't have a good ERA. He had one decent season... He won't be here for long.

That's right, I forgot. Your team kicks his arse every time.

So to the other poster, Baranik won't be drafted so we have an even better chance of getting more than 7 of those guys on campus.

Actually, we do. Airline hasn't lost to Parkway in a long time. We shelled him when he pitched against us this year.

I know you do, that's why I said I forgot. Can you link the boxscore to this year's shelling so I can get a good idea of how thorough the beatdown was? According to the boxscores on Parkway's website he didn't even pitch against Airline...and clearly that has to be a mistake.

ETA: I'm also seeing he was 4-1 with a 1.94 ERA. Can you please link me to his real stats? Thanks.

Please let MOT know the year you receive a scholarship from LSU so we can add your name to the list...

The scouts I have talked to think different. He should be picked up in the first 10 rounds..

Sounds like a backup player on Airline has an axe to grind..

He can hit but he doesn't have an arm to play C, at least not in a major conference.

But he can hit.. may be the best right handed hitter coming in with this class. His arm and position are a little more of a question. Listed as a catcher but has played 3rd alot in high school.

He didn't pitch to us in that game, true. But he has pitched against us in prior years. And Airline beat their arse when he did. They stopped throwing him at us.

Evan Powell can smash. He could play first or third. If I remember correctly, he did play third in his junior season. But he can swing with the best of them.

So you said you shelled him this year but you now admit you didn't even face him this year? I hope you understand why it is becoming increasingly difficult to take you seriously.

According to Maxpreps Airline beat Parway 4-3 in 2010. I can't find a box score, but assuming he pitched the entire game I'm still not sure that would be considered an arse beating or a shelling.
