New Orleans Oyster Festival 2011

Not hating, but why have this festival in June? Would probably be better suited in early March....

Well not exactly coming from that angle, but the quality of the oyster is so much better in March.

The wife and I were in NO last year and made it by the festival. First thing was it was hot. Black asphalt parking lot and not much shade. But other than that it was very enjoyable. Heat was offset by easy access to cold beer. Sampled many different dishes. Not cheap but not expensive either. I was pleasantly full. I hope it catches on and becomes another permanent NO festival.

Looks to be the best shot at rain in forever. Maybe that will cool it down a bit.
