Im thinking of upgrading from my LG Ally to the Xperia Play by Sony, if I can.

Here

Anyone have any experience with this phone? Thoughts on being able to play "console quality" games on it?

I'm really not sure how great it'll be. I know it has a 1GHz single-core Scorpion processor that seems to be a little dated. Maybe with them focusing on games with it it'll be better at gaming than other phones with that processor.

Yeah, with it running that processor, im betting the battery life wont be great either...but it will still be better than my current one.

Im deciding between this or the Droid X / Thunderbolt. I wont be frequently gaming on it, just wanted something better to play besides Angry Birds. If the majority of its use is texting and watching movies at work, which would be better overall?

yeah, i have the lg ally too. thought about getting this phone but i decided to wait for the iphone 5 to come out. plus, i want to get hands on with the xperia play before i get it. like, what's the response time on the joysticks and whatnot.
