Still purple and gold: Randy Rosetta, who covers LSU football and baseball for The Advocate, is leaving to become managing editor and the LSU beat writer for TigerSportsDigest.com. TigerSportsDigest.com is owned by Scout and Fox Interactive. Rosetta has been with The Advocate since 2004 and moved over to covering LSU football after four years of covering Tiger basketball.

After Dubois left The Advocate, Rosetta became the only Advocate writer I have respect for. The sports department of The Advocate is spiraling downward, IMO.

Print is dead. The Advocate does a terrible job of keeping their sports writers, yet Smiley Anders has been there for 100 years it seems.
