Aoki will probably twist him up like a pretzel.

Aoki gas trouble with guys like rich

Why did you put corndog in there? He has no affiliation with LSU, doesnt watch any team sports especially not amateur athletics, lives in Slidell and has never lived in BR, and is from New Jersey, not Louisiana

I like Rich, but let's be serious, he's been very unimpressive in his last few fights. I REALLY hope he wins, but Aoki will probably win by reverse-upside down-behind the back gogoplata.

Aoki has a tendency to turtle up when he gets hurt. Rich's only chance is to keep it standing. Rich sure as hell better check his ego at the door.

A friend of mine actually saw Rich out at a restaurant in Slidell a few nights ago. Rich told him that he was fighting Aoki so hopefully this one sticks.

Apparently, Shields called out BJ and then deleted the tweet to make it look like BJ was the one doing the "calling out". Either way, I hope BJ completely skulldrags Shields if it happens.

It's happenin fo sho, though he didn't find our officially til last night

He is BR right now working on a movie, so I'm going in s bit to help him prepare for the fight

Story I just got from him was when the injury occurred opening a spot for a replacement, aoki was offered two opponents. Dream wanted aoki to fight rich, but it would have to be at a catchweight since rich is heavy right now. Dream leaned hard on aoki to take the fight, because rich is pretty popular overseas

Aoki said no, and picked the other guy. Told Dream "I would fight rich if he came down to 70 kilos (154) but we know he is to big for that right now."

So rich responded with "frick that guy, I'll make 70 kgs on a weeks notice" so then dream went back to aoki and told him rich was willing to make the weight, and essentially took the other opponent off the table for aoki. So aoki had to face rich if he wanted to fight

182 right now, so 27-28 pounds

Fight is on 29th

He JUST fought a month ago at 155 though, so it shouldn't be a bad cut

He can diet now and drop 6-7 pounds of extra food weight before his water cut. I mean, 20 pounds of water is still a shite ton, but this is a fight he has been wanting for a long while, and it could prove to be huge if he pulls it out

Plus, the main thing people seem to forger when they talk about guys fighting on short notice, or what they foresee as a bad matchup: he is getting paid. Nicely. And he is a pro fighter

If a fighter turns down too many pay days, he feels it in his everyday life

What's gonna be his game plan? To try and keep his distance with punches? I sure hope he doesn't do a Lyle Beerbohm and try to clinch with Aoki.
