Fontenot hero in Giants 3-2 win over the Rockies!

He's a hero in our house. He helped Wilson in the top of the 9th and flied out to drive the winning run in. That means we're 2 games behind the Rockies now. Yep, he's my hero.

And there you go, the announcers just used the *hero* word when describing Mike. He's playing great ball right now.

Don't really follow the GMen much. But what happens to Fontenot if they acquire Reyes ? Does he move to 3rd ? What happens when Sandoval comes back ? And my last, I feel really dumb asking question, is Fontenot the GMen normal SS ? Or is he just playing there cause Tejada slid over to third to replace Pablo ?

Fontenot is very versatile and he played 2b in college and for the Cubs for the most part (Theriot's DP combo for both). He can also come off the bench if necessary and be a nice pinch hitter with some pop, despite some dimunitive size.

Mr.WiseGuy, good questions. He's filling in very nicely while we have some injuries. He's getting great playing time and can only make our team stronger when the starters come back.
