Heading to Ireland in two weeks. Will be spending time in: Dublin, Galway, and Cork. Anyone have any specific restaurant suggestions in these towns? TIA.

We didn't hit any big time restaurants. Mostly pubs with great country cooking and alot of beer. It's a fun trip! Enjoy.

bump for the morning crew...
i'm sure we'll meander about, finding interesting places. just looking to see if anyone has specific recommendations based on recent experience.

Exactly. If you get hungry, grab a bowl of Irish stew at the pub.
By the way, you need to try two things in Ireland even if you don't usually like them in the states:
Guinness and lamb.
Guiness is a beer best enjoyed when it is fresh. Also, the bartenders are properly trained in Ireland to "build" a Guinness rather than pour a Guinness. It comes out tasting creamy rather than the liquid licorice you get in most American bars.
The lamb in Ireland is also amazing. It's hard to explain, but it just tastes better than most that you get in the US. I only order lamb in fine restaurants here, but had no problem ordering it in any pub or whole on the wall in Ireland.
Of course, you can also order Guinness stew and get your lamb cooked in your Guinness. MMMMMMMM
ETA: Get yourself an album of Irish pub songs before you go. After a few Guinness and/or shots of Irish whiskey, it's fun to know some of the songs so you can sing along with the other drunks.
Enjoy. I think Ireland may have been my favorite trip ever, but I was in the southern part of Ireland, in Kilarney.

i'm sure we'll do this; as i pointed out above, we plan to just meander around. BUT, i don't plan to eat pub food the whole time. Ireland has an emerging food scene, that is more and more taking advantage of their abundant seafood (and not just fish/chips). Being a food guy, I like to check out good places to eat. Therefore, my request for specific recommendations.
i'm doing some internet research as well, so I'm sure I'll find some interesting options.

I'd do the same if I were heading to Dublin. My time was spent in small villages in southern Ireland, so fine dining was not really an option.
