people really need to take a step back and look at it.

We essentially lost a second rounder, but we got a hopeful starting RB

Alot of draft experts had Ingram as a top 15 player in this draft.

Saints talk has gone full retard.

Do people seriously think we were going to get a Heisman winning RB for nothing?

32nd pick in 2012? Don't bet on it.

What happens if we dump it next year? Would you give up a 2nd and the # 16 pick for Ingram?

Seems like the Patriots always take somebody every year ending up with more and higher picks than they should .......

Really - if you think Mark Ingram just got us a Super Bowl win, you are looking in the mirror when you typed.

Wow this thread fails. There's a reason Ingram fell that far.

Yes, I like the pick.
No, I do not think we got good value for the pick.

Ino, we gave up too much for him.

Y'all are missing the main point the people who don't like the pick are making. If the front office was willing to deal like this, then we should have moved up and got an elite prospect like Quinn or Fairley. We gave up a 1st and a 2nd for a number 28 this year. We could have gave up a little more and moved to the low teens.

I have never liked giving up picks in future years when you do not know what pick you will have.

But, Geaux Saints and Super Bowl here we come.

You guys have to realize that the 2nd round pick we gave up was towards the back end. If you think we could have given up a little more to move up to the teens you are mistaken. The falcons had to give up 2 1st rounds, 2 2nd rounds and a 4th round to move up 20 spots. We would have to at least give up one of our thirds and next years second to move up to the teens, which isn't a small price to pay.

Second, Ingram was a good pick at 28. Is it worth it to give up a back end 2nd and a back end 1st to get the number one back in this draft, it might not, but it is definitely nothing to jump off of a bridge over.
